ARLINGTON, Va. – The Wireless Infrastructure
Association (WIA) announced that Matt Mandel has been named Vice President of
Government and Public Affairs.
“Matt has led WIA and the wireless industry
to numerous legislative victories, including saving the industry $250 million in
winning a key provision in the Federal Aviation reauthorization bill in 2018,”
said WIA President and CEO Jonathan Adelstein. “Matt began at WIA focused on
federal legislative advocacy on Capitol Hill, a strong suit of his, which has
brought much success to the wireless industry. He has grown to oversee all of Government
Affairs and Public Affairs. In his new position, where he’ll remain as chief
federal lobbyist for WIA, he will also lead the regulatory, state, and public
affairs teams with his balanced ability to pivot between them all. Matt is the
prototype for a leader who gets things done and who moves the agenda forward
for the wireless industry.”
Matt holds over 20 years of legislative and
advocacy experience and has been at WIA since April 2015. He is also an adjunct
professor at American University.
